Ruidoso Winter Park
Ruidoso Winter Park claims to have more lift capacity (3 magic carpets) and the largest snow making system in the Rockies. Their tubing lanes vary between 600 and 900 feet long and include twists, turns, bumps, jumps and bobsled curves. All participants must be 46 inches tall in order to snow tube on the largest hill. Single tubes and family size tubes which hold between 4 to 6 riders are available. Tubing sessions last for three hours.

Ski Apache
Ski Apache Resort which is owned and operated by the Mescalero Apache Tribe has 2 snow tubing lanes and a magic carpet. Sessions last for 3 hours and both single and double tubes are available. All participants must be 42 inches tall and 5 years old. Typically open on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays during the season. Ski Apache offers other winter activities such as skiing and snowboarding.

Taos Ski Valley
Unlimited snow tubing for $15 is offered at the Strawberry Hill tubing park. Typically open Thursday through Sunday from 2pm – 6pm. There are several tubing lanes to choose from and the magic carpet will quickly take you back up the hill. Taos Ski Valley offers other winter activities such as snowshoe tours, snowmobile tours and cross country skiing.

The Polar Coaster – Angel Fire Resort
The Polar Coaster features 3 snow tubing lanes that are 1,000 feet long and a magic carpet lift. Tubing sessions run 1 hour and 30 minutes and you must be 42 inches tall. You can tube into the night since the area is lighted. Angel Fire Resort offers other winter activities such as skiing, cross country skiing and sledding.
