Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain
Alpine Slide has several snow tubing lanes. The unique tubing lane is called the “Snake Run” since it is comprised of high banked turns that send tubers winding down the hill. Other features include a covered magic carpet, snow making capabilities and lighting on Friday and Saturday nights. Pregnant women and children under 2 years old are prohibited from tubing. Children ages 2-6 can ride free if accompanied by a paying adult 18 years or older and the child rides with the adult on their tube. Tickets can be purchased for an unlimited day pass or evening sessions on Friday and Saturday. Magic Mountain offers other activities such as the Alpine slide which is open year around and is California’s only authentic bobsled experience.

Big Bear snow play has the longest tubing runs in Southern California. Other features include a covered magic carpet, snow making capabilities and lighting so tubing doesn’t have to end once it gets dark. Tickets are $25 per person and are valid for unlimited tubing. Pregnant women and children under 2 years old are prohibited from tubing. Children ages 2-6 can ride free if accompanied by a paying adult 18 years or older and the child rides with the adult on their tube. Big Bear is open every day from 10am – 4pm during the season except on Christmas when it opens at 11am.

Blizzard Mountain Tubing – Sierra at Tahoe
Blizzard Mountain snow tubing hill features 2 lanes and a tow. Children shorter than 42 inches must be accompanied by an adult while tubing. A snow play area is also available for children to build snowmen and have fun in the snow. Snow tubing tickets are valid for two hours and sold on a first come first serve basis.

Hansen’s Resort features a smaller tubing hill with two lanes that are 400 feet long. Since there are no magic carpet lifts or tows you will have to carry your tube back up the hill using a walkway. Open daily from 9am – 5pm during the season. Children ages 4 and under can tube for free if accompanied by a paying adult. Tickets are valid for one hour of snow tubing and cost $15 per person. Parking is free.

Snow tubing at Heavenly Mountain feature 5 tubing lanes that are over 500 feet long and includes a 65 foot vertical drop! Tubing sessions last for 1 hour and you must be taller than 42 inches in order to participate. There is a mini tubing hill for those who don’t meet the height requirement. Leland Snow Play
Located at 6,300 feet in the Stanislaus National Forest, Leland Snow Play has several tubing lanes with varying degrees of difficulty along with 2 tows. It is family owned and operated. Ticket prices vary depending on if you want to use the tow lift or walk back up the tubing hill. Tickets are discounted during the middle of the week. Pregnant women are prohibited from tubing and children must by 44 inches or taller to use the tow lift. A kiddie tubing hill is available for children that aren’t ready for the larger tubing hill. Open 7 days a week during the season.

Montecito Sequoia Lodge
Located at 7,400 feet in the Sequoia National Forest, snow tubing on Dandy’s hill at the Montecito Sequoia Lodge features giant snow tubes and a 400 foot long tow lift. Tubes are provided complimentary to guests staying at the lodge. Night tubing is available for an additional fee. Montecito Sequoia Lodge offers other winter activities including cross country skiing and snowboarding.

Northstar California Resort
Snow tubing at Northstar consists of a 200 yard hill and tow lift. Tickets can only be purchased in person and are sold on a first-come, first serve basis. You must be 42 inches tall and able to fit inside tube while holding onto the tube handles. Tubing sessions are one hour long and additional tubing hours can be purchased at a reduced rate. The North Pole snow tubing park is the largest in Southern California, with 10 tubing lanes serviced by two magic carpets. Tickets are available for two hour or full day sessions. Children must be at least 36 inches tall in order to snow tube. Children 36 – 42 inches tall must be accompanied by a parent in a separate tube at all times. Located at 6,500 feet in the San Bernardino National Forest, Snow Drift is the largest and oldest operating snow tubing park in Southern California. There are no tows or magic carpet lifts so you will get your exercise walking back up the hill. Tubing lanes vary between beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Woolly’s Tube Park – Mammoth Mountain Ski Area
Woolly’s Tube Park has 6 snow tubing lanes and a tow lift. Children must be 42 inches or taller in order to snow tube. For children who don’t meet this requirement, there is a snow play area where kids can ride sleds, build snowmen and enjoy riding a Merry Go Round. Snow tubing sessions last for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Tubing tickets for children 12 and under include a free gondola ride to the summit of Mammoth Mountain. Open 7 days a week during the season.
